But I'm actually wanting to run. I look forward to it and have started doing less weight training to get the running in. It's kind of weird. I don't think I enjoy the aches, but its the feeling of accomplishment I get after doing what my goal is for that day. Right now the run/walk time goal is 40 minutes. I walk for 5 minutes then for 40 minutes I walk 1.5 minutes and run 1 minute. It equals 16 minutes of running and 24 minutes of walking. My goal is to get up to run/walk for 60 minutes and then I'm going to slowly start increasing the run time until there is no more walking. I can't say that as I'm running I don't get tired and there are times I want to stop and walk, but after getting through it, I feel really good mentally and emotionally. Physically I feel exhausted LOL.
I started weighing more consistently at work 2 weeks ago. I weigh Wednesday's at 7:30 am. The first Wednesday I was 139. Last week I was 133. We'll see what happens this week. It's that time of month on top of it being the 4th and I have a surplus of ice cream in my freezer from making dessert for the 4th. I think I'm going to bring it to my friend and she can feed it to her 4 children. They will enjoy it and it gets it out of my temptation zone. (I do this a lot - especially when i have the baking urge. I bake, eat one of what I bake and bring the rest to work and give them to her so she can bring home - it works really well for me)
I am currently on the WW site - mainly I like to use their food journal. It's handy and helps me keep track fairly well - I am still not as consistent with it as I need to be, but well, if I can be consistent with exercise I can be consistent with this, I just have to settle into it. I also am reading Eat-Clean by Tosca Reno. She follows a lot of what I already know - cut out sugars and processed foods, eat whole grains, lean meat veggies etc. I picked up her book because I had read an article about a woman my age who was doing a similar workout to what I do and when she started following the eat clean plan she lost 50 lbs. It was inspiring. It is not as strict as Gillian McKeith's plans (though I have her website for recipe ideas when i need them) and it's closer to the Dr. Oz plans but I like her writing and I like some of the food suggestions etc that she makes. She has a 1 week menu plan that I"m going to follow for a few weeks and see how it goes before I begin to expand it with new recipes. (her recipes vary from day to day so it's not dull and has a nice variety).
i'm halfway there - I have the exercise down and consistent - now I just have to get down this whole food thing.
