This will be my first 5K run/walk. I hope to be able to run at least half of it.I will run the last part over the finish line.
The run/walk is going okay. I feel good about it some days, other days are harder. I need to get a better schedule going. Still trying to find one that works best.
I'm also going to read the Eat Clean book and try and start moving to that form of eating. I'll post information here regarding it.I was inspired by an article in the Eat Clean magazine. A woman my age started improving her workouts, like me, and then started to Eat Clean and this led her to lose 50 pounds. She now owns her own women's fitness company. It was inspiring. i have more than 50 I want to lose, but that would be a happy point.
I will admit this week has not been the greatest as far as eating wise. There are some parts I'm good about and others I"m not. I have to find a better balance.
Last thing for this post are the 10 commandments from Dr. Oz for weight loss:
1. Thou shall not wear pants that stretch
2. Thou shall not keep fat clothes in your closet
3. Thou shall not eat meat that walks on 4 legs more than once a week
4. Thou shall not graze or browse in search of prey (preplan before opening fridge/cabinets)
5. Thou Shall not eat after 7:30 pm
6. Thou shall not pile food more than 1 inch high or less than 2 inches from edge of plate
7. Thou shall not chew your food less than 20 times
8. Thou shall not covet your neighbor's plate
9. Thou shall not carry small bills (vending machine hazard)
10. Thou shall not eat while standing up or sitting in a car
