run

Today was a run day, yesterday was a rest day and the day before that was a xtrain day.

The run was hard - I almost decided not to go but I went and I walked 5 minutes, then for 28 minutes I did 1 minute run and 1 minute 30 seconds walk.  I'm literally wiped.

My right hip isn't liking running much.

I'll see how I feel tomorrow.   Tomorrow is clean up the garden day - basically weeding and I have to plant a crepe myrtle in the backyard.

Today went to the farmer's market and enjoyed - I got some baby pattypan squash, baby bok choy, chinese spinach, red and orange baby carrots, 2 quarts of blue berries, some baby beets, farm fresh eggs, organic chicken breast on the bone, and black raspberries.  I also bought at the store some cherries, corn, grape tomatoes, avocado, broccolini, baby spinach, salad greens, raspberries, bananas, baby bell peppers, shitaki and baby portabello mushrooms.   I think I'm missing some things but not sure there is a lot of fresh stuff in the fridge for cooking this week.  I'm going to try and make some soup with some of the veggies - like an asian veggie soup.  I have soba noodles for that.

I am also making yogurt.  I got a yogurt maker a while back - basically it keeps it at the right temperture for incubation.   You heat the milk, add yogurt and put in containers and into machine and set timer.  Last time we put the lids on the jar and you're not supposed to until its done incubating - so I'll see how it goes this time.   Making vanilla and honey vanilla yogurt.

It'll be a fun food week - lots of good things.
