Day 8 EC

So I weighed this morning and I'm at 240.8.  So that's down 4.8 pounds with one week.  We'll see how this coming week goes.  If I can get through this week then next saturday I get sushi and frozen yogurt before starting up again.   Today was the big race - Girls just wanna run 5k.   We had a heat advisory and after 2miles I was done - felt like I was going to pass out.  They didn't have the water on the run until almost the very end of the race.   At 2 miles I had run/walked for about 30 minutes.  I asked the 2 mile marker people where the water was and they tossed me a bottle of water one had - most of it got dumped over my head.   But I did make it and I did it faster than last year just walking.  My time per my shoe chip was 48:59:9 - so under 50 and I wasn't last - I was happy.  I even got a mini massage at the event - they had massage therapists at the event doing mini massages for the event participants.  

Meal 1: whole wheat english muffin spread w/ almond butter and topped with flax and a sliced banana (so yummy)

Meal 2: (this I had after the race.  Had to make do with what they had) 1/2 banana, 4 strawberries, about 1 cup grapes and 3 slices of bagel (take a whole bagel and cut it into 1/2 inch strips)

Meal 3: 1 can tuna in water (drained) w/ 1 stalk celery, 1 T mediterranean dip on 2 slices whole grain bread with spinach.   (I used all my yogurt cheese to make the dip which is why I used the dip)

Meal 4: 2 hardboiled eggs and 2 kiwi

Meal 5: 2 whole grain wasa crackers spread with Mediterranean dip (yogurt cheese, garlic, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, homemade onion soup mix, sea salt and celery seed) and 1 bowl of carrot soup (onions, coconut oil, olive oil, carrots, sweet potato, garlic, ginger, fresh squeezed oj, pepper, sea salt and chicken stock) topped with ginger crisps(slices of ginger brushed with olive oil and baked til crispy)

Meal 6: frozen chocolate dipped banana (I think this is my new favorite treat)
