Cross train

So the running system starts today.  Technically it started before vacation but nothing happened on vacation so its starting today.

Weight - one scale said 238 another scale said 248.   I like the 238 better LOL.

My butt is going to be kicked this summer- classes are gonna keep me very organized and hopefully that will extend into exercise.  Schedule will be as follows: Monday - run, Tuesday - Xtrain, Wednesday - run, Thursday - Xtrain, Friday - rest, Saturday - run, Sunday - rest.

That was the general concept recommended by the trainer.  Tomorrow we'll be running 30 minutes - we walk 5 minutes then alternate 1 minute run with 1 minute and 30 seconds of walking.

Today I did Xtrain.  Xtraining is something else other than running to rest the legs.  It can be weights, biking or swimming etc.   I did weights today.  That will probably be my Xtraining unless I have an urge to do something else.

Friday is pay day and I am going to take my cash to the farmer's market for food.  I am going to try and work towards a mainly vegetarian diet with some fish, milk and eggs.  (I'd say chicken but in all honesty i'm not a big chicken eater but there may be turkey)

We'll see how it goes.  I have a bit of motivation too.  I want to show people in my office that you can do it the right way.   Half of my office is going the HCG route.  It's a hormone produced by pregnant women that a few doctors in town are toting as being a good weigh loss route.  Basically 2 days or a day before you start the HCG injections/drops or spray, you gorge on food.  Then you start the injections/drops or spray and you can only eat 500 calories a day - and no exercise at all.  I hate it.  It /goes against everything I know from studying nutrition and anatomy/physiology and just to be healthy and I just can't see why someone would want to screw with their hormones and their brain to lose weight.   Yes, people lose weight, but long term effects haven't been studied and I don't know anyone who's been on it, lost the weight and then stopped the treatment to see what happens.  But I bite my tongue.  One of my friends said, "So if I'm successful will you do it."  I said "No."

So there it is - getting down to business.
