I'm very thankful that I did not get the ton of snow that some of my friends got. Seeing the pictures I am just very happy - the driveway would have done me in.
In the meantime, today was a happy day. I feel slightly behind - not really in work or school, but with my house. I have so much I want to do organization wise and cleaning wise, but its just not happening. Between work, after work activities, the gym, cooking and schoolwork there's not much time for housework. The goal is on Feb 15th to take down the xmas tree. Yes, the tree is still up but I vow to have it down by the night of the 15th - I have the day off of work and class. I'm actually fairly ahead in class. My maps for the next food and culture test are done as well as the surname homework. My lab report for Friday will be done tomorrow (I always due them on the weekend so no stress during the week) and my paper for my food presentation on the 22nd will be done by next weekend. I plan on cooking my food for food and culture class (groundnut stew from Ghana) tomorrow and putting it in the freezer - then I can just defrost it the weekend before (unless its a complete failure and I have to make another batch). Feb 15th I'll do the grocery tour for food prep and I'll go to the 3 ethnic grocery stores for food and culture. So yeah, I'm organized with school and the goal is to stay ahead so I'm not stressing at the end.
Food wasn't too bad today. I didn't get a picture of dinner, but I did get the rest of them. I haven't downloaded yet (I do get slightly behind with that sometimes - but the bed is warm and I'm not ready to get up at this time just for the camera). I am going to have a semi naughty day tomorrow. I don't plan on watching the superbowl, but I am going to make rotel cheese dip and 7 layer dip for dinner. I also am going to try an apple strudel in the morning for breakfast. (it only has 1/4 cup sugar and 2 T butter so not too horrid)
Breakfast - 1 glass 1% milk plus 2 T hershey's syrup
Snack - 1 cup raisin bran crunch plus 1 cup 1% milk
Lunch - 8 piece chick fila nuggets with honey mustard dressing and a side salad with blue cheese dressing and a lemonade. Followed with 2 peanut butter cups
Dinner - 1 piece of pizza (onion, black olives, bell pepper, tomato and ham) and 1 cup onion soup with a slice of bread toasted with cheese from local pizza parlor (South Ave Pizza Company - dinner with friends for a bday)
Dessert - 1 mocha with caramel from Mudhouse (local coffee shop. I actually need to go spend some time there, they have a great selection of loose teas including roobios and green - I'm really wanting to try the green chai tea)
Movement:
Went to the gym today and did my weight machines - chest press, lat pull down, leg press, leg abductor, leg adductor, ab machine and back extension. Also did 30 minutes on the true strider set at resistance 2. plus 3 lap warm up on the track - walking.
