Day 9

I'm going to try and do an extra post each week and take one food and discuss it - how can it be cooked, its benefits, what nutrients its got and a recipe.

I had a good day today.  Here's the funny part - I'm working to not eat out as much and eat healthier - well low and behold one of the local radio stations, Alice 95.5 draws my name for a $50 gift certificate to San Francisco Oven.  So well, I ate out tonight.

Work has been good - things seem to move fast, but in an organized way.  We are changing so often that we haven't really had a chance to settle.  If we can't settle we can't look at procedures or get everyone on the same page.  My team comes from such a variety of backgrounds its not helping the confusion much.

Trying to read the The China Study but I think I picked a bad time to start.  My Food and Culture book may be on an interesting topic, but it is a true text book - dry and painful to read.

Food:
Breakfast - 24 pieces of Frosted Cinnamon Struesel mini wheats with 1 cup 1% milk
Snack - 3 vanilla almond cranberry clusters
Lunch - Campbell's Chunky Sirloin vegetable soup (I was not up to fixing food last night).  I only ate about half the can.  Followed it with a snack size 3 musketeeres mint with dark chocolate.
Snack - Yoplait light strawberry banana yogurt and 2 satsumas (these were not had at the same time but they were in the afternoon)
Dinner - 2 slices of Four Cheese Bianco small pizza with a side salad that had ranch dressing on it.  I ate all the salad. Had an unsweetened tea with dinner.
Dessert - 1/4 cream cheese brownie and 1 cup 1% milk.
Between dinner and dessert had a small mocha frappe.

Exercise:
7135 steps today
Walked at work about 7 laps
Biceps - 3 times 10 reps per arm
Triceps - 2 times 10 reps
Chest press - 1 time 10 reps per arm
Shoulder press - 2 times 10 reps per arm
squats - 10
23 minute Biggest Loser workout on the Wii
