anyway, good day - can you tell??? I'm getting lots of compliments on my nutrition board. It has info on mypyramid.gov from some classroom punchouts I found. I listed several other reliable nutrition websites, I posted information on 2 healthy websites that my job offers - one even offers assistance from personal trainer and registered dietitian long distance and the other you can earn points that get you everything from gift cards to movie tickets just for logging exercise and diet (I need to start keeping up with that website) Anddddd I posted the food of the month. I did Chocolate this month. I figured with Valentine's day, chocolate was good. I found a recipe at Eatingwell.com for some chocolate brownies and put copies of that recipe up. All in all there's a lot of info and really good stuff. Ohhhh and the 28 days to a healthy heart calendar from sparkpeople.com.
Today was pretty good eating wise and also movement wise.
Food:
Breakfast - 2 eggs with 1 T gruyere cheese and 1/2 T butter - scrambled via microwave
Snack - 1/2 cup of chocolate chex mix
Lunch - 1 cup Campbell's Healthy living chicken noodle soup (I just really didn't like some herb they used in the soup, too strong) followed by 6 almond vanilla cranberry nuggets - apparently I forgot to take a picture of the soup.
Snack - 1 blimey limey smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe and later I had 1 cup hot chocolate
Dinner - onion soup, 4 slices of baguette topped with cheese and a salad of mixed greens, pear, blue cheese, dried cranberries and vinegrette.
Dessert - 1 strawberry muffin from a mix
Had 2 rootbeers tonight (this wasn't so good but I'm okay with it)
Movement
7052 steps
30 minutes on the True Strider
5 minutes on the track walking (this was my warm up before weights)
(at work) 10 shoulder presses each arm
(at gym) - ab crunch machine, back extension machine, lat pull down, chest press, leg abductor and leg adductor and leg press. All 12 reps 2 times, different weight settings.
Going to take measurements and pictures on Thursday.
