Day 8

(So this is the second time I've written this tonight... computers suck sometimes)

Today has been a good day on the movement front.  I started using my pedometer again and I walked 7931 steps today.  I don't put my pedometer on right away and I take it off when I get home so there are some uncounted steps, but it gets most of them.

New class started today - food preparation.  It should be fun - its basically learning about different foods and how to prepare them.  The lab is a cooking lab with tasting.  It should be fun.  I'm looking forward to it.  We have to do a report on one food for the class and I am thinking of doing quinoa.  I like it and I'm interested in its many possibilities, but I haven't yet mastered it.

Food:
Breakfast - 24 pieces of frosted mini wheats cinnamon strusel flavored ( that's 1 serving size per the box) and 1 1/2 cups of 1% milk.
Snack - 1 bag of organic popcorn au natural - its an off brand my mom got at the discount store.  it's pretty good, and healthy tasting - not laden with butter and salt.
Lunch - 1 sloppy joe on wheat bun with a side of veggies left over from last night followed up with a snack size 3 musketeers mint in dark chocolate.
Snack - 2 satsumas
(Somewhere in here there were 2 malted milk balls - 1 before the snack and 1 after, but not immediately)
Dinner - 2 sushi rolls - a sex in the city roll (can't remember full description but its 8 pieces) and a yummy roll (I know this one has spicy crab but again the full description escapes me - its 5 pieces)
Dessert - sugar free jello pudding made with 1 % milk and topped with sugar free whipped cream

Movement:
7931 steps
1 flight of stairs up and 3 down (that's the easy part)
walked around the building 7 times
bicep curls - 10 per arm 4 times
triceps - 10 reps 2 times
chest press - 10 per arm 3 times
shoulder press - 10 per arm 3 times
squats - 10 (I did these while I was waiting on lunch to heat up in the microwave - there wasn't anyone else around)
